The letters `PVC` stands for Poly Vinyl Chloride, which is a chemical compound of chlorine, carbon and hydrogen. The components of PVC originate from the naturally occurring raw materials of petroleum, or natural gas and common salt. The `u` stands for Un-plasticised, (sometimes called Unmodified), and it means that the material has not been softened by the addition of chemicals known as plasticizers.

About Us
In a short space of time, Magnum Profile Industries has developed from a small local fabricator of aluminium windows to an establishment with a significant national presence. Our flexible, multi-faceted approach to the supply of what clients want and when they want it has resulted in rapid but controlled development and a company that is one of the most stable and trusted within the industry.
"From small acorns mighty oaks grow” it is said. The Magnum seedbed was sown in the nineties in Durban, Kwa-Zulu Natal and concentrated exclusively on the manufacturing of aluminium windows and doors. Prior to expanding the services of our company, to incorporate the manufacturing of uPVC windows and doors, much effort went into the studying of the quality and performance of many different profile systems. Of paramount importance, was securing a system of profiles that would be of the highest quality uPVC. Further, a product which suited Southern African building methods and applications, was crucial as we have always prided ourselves in keeping with our motto of `where quality counts`. After extensive research, a locally extruded system was selected because it has been used successfully in South Africa for more than twenty years and carries a 10 Year Guarantee. All profiles used carry the SABS stamp of approval.
Our products are rather different to many other window manufacturers-starting with what we put into them during the course of manufacture, through to the flexibility of the manufacturing process, so that the client benefits by having the particular style of window to suit their own property-within a manufacturing time to suit their own needs. State of the art cutters, welders, routers and various other production machines, together with a strong work force and a reliable mode of transportation ensure deliveries are made when needed. The top performance equipment ensures fast, efficient production, keen prices and on time deliveries.
In essence we aim for a consistency of service, quality product development and competitiveness that is of benefit to installers, contractors, specifiers and home owners.
